Special Operations Forces Exhibition and Conference (SOFEX), 2-4 sept. 2024, Jordan 09.09.2024
From September 2-4, Colonel Manuela-Elena Mihai, National focal point on Women, peace and security (FPS), participated in the city of Aqaba, The Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan at the 14th edition of the Special Operations Forces Exhibition and Conference (SOFEX). The Romanian military delegation was led by the chief of the Special Operations Forces Command, Major-General Claudiu-Ovidiu Dobocan with whom participated lieutenant-colonel Cristina Rus and Major Andreea Farcas
During the conference, discussions were held on the positive appreciation of military cooperation in the field of special forces between Romania and Jordan, the activity is part of a series of high-level interactions with military leaders within the Armed Forces of the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan.
On the third day, the working group dedicated to promoting female military leadership took place, during which the Romanian focal point addressed topics such as framing female military personnel in Romanian MOD, promoting, recruiting and selecting female personnel, and, as well as issues related to international relations in terms of the Women, peace and security Agenda.
