NATO Annual Conference on gender perspective

On 6-8 May, at the headquarters of the North Atlantic Treaty Organization (NATO) in Brussels, Belgium, took place the annual conference of the NATO Committee on the gender perspective with the theme ,,Military planning and partnership – a new era of gender perspective in NATO” (2024 NATO Committee on Gender Perspectives Annual Conference).

The conference brought together representatives of NATO member and partner nations, who discussed issues related to the implementation of the Women, peace and security Agenda, current field development status and additional effort lines for detailed analysis of gender perspective.

Romania was represented at this activity by Colonel Manuela-Elena Mihai, Chief of Gender management office and National focal point within Women, peace and security also by Major Oana Stromberger, specialist officer in Gender management office .

The participation of the Romanian delegation in the activity represented an opportune opportunity to promote the development of the implementation of the reference field at the level of the Ministry of National Defence and at national level.
