The activity is dedicated to the completion of the „National Strategy and National Action Plan on the implementation of United Nations Security Council Resolution 1325 (2000) (UNSCR) Women, peace and security for the period 2024-2028”, which will be approved by Government decision.

National strategy and national action plan on the implementation of United Nations Security Council Resolution 1325 (2000) Women, Peace and Security for the period 2024 – 2028 is the instrument underlying the development of common policies and directions for the implementation of UNSCR 1.325 (2000) used by institutions in the national defence system and national security in Romania, as well as other central administration institutions with responsibilities in the field.

This Strategy has been developed on 5 objectives, as follows:
(1) – Integration of gender perspective into security and defence policies;
(2) – Increasing representation and significant participation of women in the national defence, public order and national security system in peace negotiations and mediation processes and peacekeeping missions;
(3) – Preventing and combating all forms of discrimination, harassment and sexual violence based on gender;
(4) – Relief and Restoration;
(5) – Collaboration with civil society and profile entities in the process of implementing the WPSAgenda.
During the meeting, these objectives were analyzed and debated, so that possible proposals to modify the content would contribute to improving the final form of the Strategy.
