Working meeting of the National Implementation Group, 12 Sept. 2022

Today, September 12, at the headquarters of the Ministry of National Defence, the chief of Gender Management Office held the working meeting of the National implementation Group for the National Strategy and the National Action Plan on the implementation of the United Nations Security Council Resolution 1.325 (2000) “Women, peace and security” for the period 2020-2023, approved by Government Decision no. 561/2020.
On the agenda of the meeting were the following topics of interest: analysis of the implementation stage of the NAP at mid-term, election of te president and vice-president of the National Implementation Group, as well as debates on future projects within the current NAP and projections for the next NAP.
In the context of increasing the significant representation and participation of women in peace negotiations, mediation processes and peacekeeping missions, it is necessary to maintain a proactive attitude toward the implementation of the Women, Peace and Security Agenda and to pay more attention to the achievement of the objectives of the NAP, which are constantly linked to developments at international level.
