An integral part of public institutions of defense, public order and national security, the National Administration of Penitentiaries pays special attention to the development of the professional quality of prison policemen, and the integration of gender perspective in daily activities is an essential pillar for ensuring a healthy and balanced working environment.
The Gender Management Office of the Ministry of National Defence, subordinated to the Department for Parliament Liaison and Personnel Welfare, coordinates the implementation process of the National Strategy and the National Action Plan on the implementation of United Nations Security Council Resolution 1325 (2000) - “Women, peace and security” for the period 2020-2023, at the level of the national defense system, public order and national security.
