The Ministry of National Defence marks this event by lighting in orange the building where it operates, a color dedicated to the fight against violence against women at the United Nations level.
This day is marked worldwide by demonstrations and acts condemning various forms of violence against women.
The General Assembly of the United Nations invites Governments, Agencies of the United Nations, international and non-governmental organizations to organize events on this day in order to draw the attention of public opinion and decision-makers to the issue of violence against women and to underline the constant concern for the implementation of public policies necessary to prevent and combat domestic violence.
